Delhi Amritsar Delhi Tour

Day 1: Delhi

Delhi - Amritsar. Early morning transfer to the railway station to board the Shatabdi Express train to Amritsar (air-conditioned chair car). You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Amritsar & the Golden Temple

In the morning, go for Amritsar city tour. The sightseeing will include visit to the beautiful Harmandir Sahib, famous as the Golden Temple. It is called so, for its roof is gold leafed. Then visit the Jallianwala Bagh in your private vehicle accompanied by an expert driver. Know more about the history of these sites from your well-versed and experienced guide. Later, your trip will extend to the Durgiana Hindu temple. stay in the hotel at night.

Day 3: Wagah Border - pomp & performance

Enjoy a free morning to relax or explore Amritsar independently. This afternoon travel approximately 28km to Wagah, which is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. Visiting Wagah is an interesting experience especially at sunset when the ‘Retreat’ ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp. Overnight stay in Amritsar Hotel.

Day 4: Amritsar to Delhi

Amritsar - Delhi. Free time in the day to do your own thing - sightsee, shop or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening you will be transferred to the railway station to board your train to Delhi, arriving shortly before midnight. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to airport for your onward flight.
